Some of Broadway’s biggest stars have released a charity single to help victims of the Orlando shooting.

The track, a cover of Burt Bacharach and Hal David’s What The World Needs Now Is Love, was recorded with the help of Broadway Records, and all proceeds will go to the LGBT Centre of Central Florida.
Stars including Sara Bareilles, Whoopi Goldberg, Gloria Estefan, Idina Menzel, Jane Krakowski, Carole King, Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Rosie O’Donnell, and Sarah Jessica Parker all feature on the track.
They introduced the song by saying: “All of us in the Broadway community are deeply saddened by the senseless tragedy that occurred in Orlando in the early morning hours of June 12th.
“We send our love and support and thoughts and prayers to everyone impacted by this act of violence and hate. This terrible cycle of violence and intolerance must end.
“We want to put out as much love into the world as we can, because only love can conquer hate. Love must prevail.”
